Julián Garcerant Fuentes's academic path has taken him through four different countries. During his undergraduate studies in Law at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Julián had the opportunity to undertake two academic exchanges in Lisbon and Mannheim (Germany). His ongoing commitment to his education led him to pursue a Master's degree in Law at the University of Lisbon and to complete a postgraduate program in Arbitration at the Center for Private Law Research (CIDP) of the same institution.
Throughout his professional career, Julián worked at PLMJ and the Tribunal Especial para la Paz (Special Court for Peace) in Colombia, among others. Over the past few years, he has represented various Iberian and Latin American clients in arbitration proceedings, working in different languages (English, Spanish, and Portuguese). Julián has published several research papers on arbitration and international law in Spain and Colombia. Furthermore, his experience as a teaching assistant at the University of los Andes, as a research fellow at the Emerging Markets Institute at Cornell University, and as a member of the Arbitration Research Group underscore his passion for arbitration and his dedication to advance this field.
With Julián Garcerant in the team, Júdice Dispute Resolution and Consultancy SA will strengthen its arbitration component.
