José Miguel Júdice (arbitration) and Rogério M. Fernandes Ferreira (tax) have published an article on new alternative solutions to the courts to solve the problem of the slowness of the administration of justice in the tax area.

These two specialists comment on the introduction of a proposal for legislative authorisation for the establishment of arbitration in the tax area as an alternative means for the resolution of tax disputes which was proposed in the 2010 state budget. They also emphasise the urgency of reversing the climate of mistrust in justice in this area.
