Portugal has approved a new Arbitration Law (Law 63/2011). It is strongly inspired in UNCITRAL Model Law and therefore will make easier to consider Lisbon as a seat for international arbitrations. The Portuguese Arbitration Association Board prepared pro bono the draft at the request of Portuguese Government. See the text of the law.
